Observed in lower Madera Canyon, Sta. Rita Mts., Arizona, USA, Sept. 2010.

Less than 7 cm long not including the long tail. Look for the pale gray stripe down the center of the back. In some specimens/populations the chevron marking are very pale, indistinct. This lizard is found in grassy habitat on the slopes and near canyons in the mountains of southeastern Arizona. Where lands are heavily over grazed this lizard is scarcer.
