One of the most common doves across North America as well as in the Sonoran Desert. They are very abundant in agricultural areas as well as the cities Tucson, Mesa, Glendale, Yuma and Safford, Arizona. If fruit or freshly sprouted seedlings are present in the lower deserts they are quick to find them. Mourning Doves are frequent components of riparian habitat fauna as well.
